DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO COSTA RICA
Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel in San José. Accommodation.

DAY 2: SAN JOSÉ – ARENAL
‍Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, drive north to the Arenal region. The charming town of La Fortuna has retained its rural charm while evolving into a hub for eco-tourism and adventure. Arenal offers a wide range of activities: hiking in Arenal Volcano National Park, ziplining, whitewater rafting, hanging bridges, wildlife refuges, canyoning, hot springs, cycling tours, and more. DAY 3: ARENAL – FREE DAY FOR OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a full day to explore at your own pace. Optional activities: Arenal Volcano National Park, Tenorio Volcano & Río Celeste, Caño Negro wetlands (for birdwatching and wildlife boat tours), canopy tours, hanging bridges, aerial tram with panoramic views of Arenal Volcano and Lake, La Fortuna Waterfall (guided or self-guided), kayaking on Lake Arenal, rafting on the Balsa or Sarapiquí Rivers, canyoning, hot springs, and sustainable experiences like chocolate, sugar cane, and coffee tours. You can also visit La Marina Wildlife Rescue Center, Ecocentro Danaus Biological Reserve, or take a sunset nature walk at Mistico Park. Accommodation.

DAY 4: ARENAL - BOCA TAPADA
Breakfast at the hotel. Head to the Maquenque Lodge in Boca Tapada, about 2.5 hours from Arenal. Located near the San Carlos River and adjacent to the Maquenque Wildlife Refuge, this region is ideal for nature lovers. The sounds of birds and untouched rainforest create an unforgettable sensory experience. Accommodation.

DAY 5:  RAINFOREST GUIDED HIKE
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, embark on a 3 km guided nature hike (approx. 2.5 hours) through the lodge's private rainforest trails. Along the way, your naturalist guide will point out local flora and fauna. You'll also visit the botanical and medicinal gardens, ending at the hotel garden. Accommodation.

DAY 6: BOCA TAPADA – SARAPIQUÍ (Cultural Experience)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure toward Sarapiquí, in Costa Rica’s Caribbean lowlands. Upon arrival, you’ll visit a local family practicing sustainable agriculture and enjoy an authentic cultural experience. Full board included. Accommodation.  

‍DAY 7: AGROECOLOGICAL TOUR in the morning
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, take part in an agroecological tour. Learn about organic, chemical-free farming practices. Taste freshly cut sugarcane and seasonal tropical fruits, see butterflies and frogs in their natural habitat, and visit a pineapple plantation where you can even plant your own pineapple or native tree.

In the afternoon, continue your drive to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, on the Southern Caribbean coast. Accommodation.

‍DAYS 8 - 9: PUERTO VIEJO • CARIBBEAN PARADISE
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time to enjoy the vibrant Caribbean coast. Relax on golden beaches or continue exploring with activities such as: Visit and enjoy the beaches of Cahuita, Puerto Vargas, and Puerto Viejo. explore Cahuita National Park, visit the Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, take a snorkeling and hiking tour in the park, or go on a dolphin-watching tour. Other activities include a chocolate tour, a visit to the Jaguar Rescue Center, and the Ara Project in Manzanillo—a reintroduction center for the great green macaw. You can also enjoy bike tours, visit an indigenous reserve, experience a canopy (zipline) tour, or take a guided hike to a waterfall, or simply enjoying the Afro-Caribbean culture, cuisine, and laid-back vibe. DAY 10: PUERTO VIEJO – INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
‍Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Juan Santamaria International Airport. Return your rental car and check in for your international flight. ¡Pura Vida!
