DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO COSTA RICA
Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel in San José. Accommodation.

DAY 2: SAN JOSE – CERRO DE LA MUERTE
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to San Gerardo of Dota. Accommodation.

DAY 3: WALKING MORNING TOUR
This tour is ideal for families who love nature, it is a 4 km walk on a path through the cloud forest. We will observe the giant oaks as well as the observation of different species of birds, orchids, beautiful views and a beautiful waterfall.

DAY 4: WHALES & DOLPHINS TOUR
This the best option to see most of the Marino Ballena National Park. The Boat departs from Punta Uvita Beach and visits the famous Punta Uvita Whale’s Tail, Ballena Island, Tres Hermanas Islets and Ventana Sea Caves. During the tour we search for *Humpback Whales (sea seasons information below) and two different species of resident *Dolphins. When granted the opportunity you might see and hear the song of the Humpback Whales and or observe the acrobatic displays of the dolphins making this trip the best Whale watching tour of Costa Rica. Other species that are seeing occasionally during this are: Bryde’s Whales, Pilot whales, False Killer whales and other marine life. We also visit the coral and rock reefs to snorkel and observe the wonderful marine wildlife of the Ballena Marine Park. While cruising in the boat you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the coastline of Costa Ballena and observe the diversity of shore and pelagic birds nesting and roosting in the Islets of the park. During the trip our captain will take you to the caverns of Ventanas Beach where you can observe wonderful rocky formations and an amazing cavern that were carve by the ocean and tectonic movements during thousands of years.  This tour is very popular in Bahia Ballena and highly recommended for all the family visiting this side of the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica.

*The Humpback whales visit the Costa Rica waters and the Marino Ballena National Park between mid-July to October late (Southern Humpback Whales), and again in mid-December through late February (Northern Humpback Whales) as they migrate to and from feeding and mating grounds. The snorkelling is good only during the dry months (November late through June) due to visibility. The Bottle Nosed Dolphins and Pacific spotted Dolphins are regularly seeing year-round in the waters of the Ballena Marine Park. During the months with no whales this tour includes Dolphin encounter, snorkelling, bird watching, visit to the sea caves and one stop to a beautiful beach for relaxing an explore. Accommodation.

DAY 5: UVITA – MANUEL ANTONIO

DAY 6: MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK TOUR

DAY 7: MANUEL ANTONIO – MONTEVERDE

DAY 8: HANGING BRIDGES TOUR
This tour is ideal for families who love nature but will leave the extreme thrills for another time, combining 3 activities to appreciate the biodiversity of Costa Rica. The treetop walkways provide the best way to safely admire the cloud forest canopy at your own pace. You will have the opportunity to appreciate a wide variety of flora and fauna of Monteverde and observe the endemic biodiversity of the cloud forest canopy which is not found anywhere else in the world. The hanging bridges provide the best vantage point to observe the beauty of the cloud forest in all its levels. We continue to the Butterfly Garden where you can see more than 30 different species of butterflies of different altitudes and climates found throughout Costa Rica. DAY 11: ARENAL – CARIBBEAN SOUTH

DAY 12 – 13: CARIBBEAN SOUTH
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy the stunning beaches. The South Caribbean zone is one of the most privileged areas of the country. It is possible to find a diversity of beaches, and the best thing is the proximity. Let yourself go and explore the varied Caribbean beaches of white sand or black sand if you prefer. Either if you are looking for strong emotions or if you just want to rest, let yourself be carried away by what this cosmopolitan area of Costa Rica offers you. DIA 14: CARIBE SUR – TURRIALBA

In Turrialba, Hacienda Monte Claro is an agricultural and ecological family farm whose concern is to find a harmonious relationship between the human being and nature. Far from the major tourist spots, the place is part of the Talamanca Central Volcanic mountain range biological corridor and is an important site for local fauna and flora. Ecosystems and crops are mixed: coffee plantations, sugar cane, pastures and domestic animals (horses, cows, chickens, among others), rivers, forests and reforestation areas, forming biological corridors within the same farm, bringing together all the parts of forests and aquifers, thus facilitating the exchange between the flora and fauna present. You can see toucans, hawks, hummingbirds, morpho butterflies, anteaters, sloth bears, coyotes, jaguarondis, not to mention the world of insects.
