Travel Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO COSTA RICA
Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel in San José. Accommodation.

DAY 2: SAN JOSE – PUERTO VIEJO
Breakfast. Departure to Caribbean South. Accommodation.

DAY 3: CAHUITA NATIONAL PARK SNORKELLING & HIKING TOUR
A wonderous journey through the Cahuita National Park´s reefs, abundant of marine life, followed by a guided interpretation of the National Park´s trails. This activity is very enjoyed by children. You will meet your captain and guide who will take you by boat to the coral reef where you will go snorkelling for two hours at two different points in the Cahuita National Park, where the reef will surprise you with its abundant marine life. Afterwards you will go to the beach to rest and have a snack of tropical fruit. Next you will start a 1½ hour guided hike through the National Park. This National Park is a combination of beautiful beaches, coral reefs, and a tropical rainforest where you can easily observe many species of monkeys, sloths, frogs, butterflies and more. The coral reef of this park includes about 240 natural habitats. There are 123 different species of fishes, 44 species of crustaceans, 140 shellfish and 1281 various algae that have been identified so far. You also can observe 35 different coral species such as fire coral, and the red and black coral which is unique to this area. At the end of the hike, the car will take you back to your hotel in Puerto Viejo. Accommodation.

Arenal Volcano area is an exuberant destination, which combines adventure with nature. DAY 7: CANOPY TOUR
Get your heart pounding by taking a zipline ride through the Costa Rican forest canopy. Along cables slung between canyons, admire incredible views, fly over and in between trees to feel an adrenaline rush like no other. Sky Trek or Canopy is a thrilling zip line circuit that starts riding an open-air gondola from the ground to the heights where you’ll be dropped off at an observation area for fantastic views. From this area, you will start riding down on a zip line track stretching across canyons and in between treetops, the exhilarating adventure of zip lining down the mountainside begins; ultimately returning you to the starting point at the main building. This is the most thrilling zip line in the country. From natural pools of sea water with crustaceans to species of monkeys in danger of extinction and impressive panoramic views.
