Travel Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO COSTA RICA
Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel in San José. Accommodation.

DAY 2: SAN JOSE – PUERTO JIMENEZ – LA TARDE LODGE
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the local airport for a domestic flight to Puerto Jiménez, gateway to the Osa Peninsula. Upon arrival, you will connect with the local operator for your Corcovado Trekking experience.

At midday, departure for La Tarde Ecotourism Project and Nature Reserve, a remote Eco-Lodge surrounded by pristine rainforest and located just 5 km from the Los Patos ranger station of Corcovado National Park. With no electricity grid and immersed in nature, La Tarde offers an authentic and off-the-beaten-path experience for wildlife enthusiasts, adventurers, and nature lovers. Accommodation.

DAY 3: LA TARDE – LOS PATOS – SIRENA HIKE (30 km)
After breakfast, a challenging full-day trek of approximately 30 kilometers begins through the heart of Corcovado National Park. Starting from La Tarde, you’ll hike past the Los Patos ranger station and continue deep into the rainforest until reaching Sirena Station, one of the most biodiverse areas on the planet. DAY 4: SIRENA – LA LEONA HIKE – PUERTO JIMÉNEZ (20 km)
Breakfast at Sirena. Today, hike along one of the park’s most unforgettable trails, covering 20 kilometers along pristine rainforest and coastal paths. The trek ends at La Leona Station, followed by a short journey to Carate, a former gold-mining village where you can refresh with cold coconut water. From here, transfer back to Puerto Jiménez. DAY 5: PUERTO JIMÉNEZ – MANUEL ANTONIO
Morning transfer by tourist shuttle to Manuel Antonio, one of Costa Rica’s most iconic beaches and wildlife destinations. Accommodation.

DAY 6: MANUEL ANTONIO
Breakfast at the hotel. Free days to enjoy the stunning beaches and explore Manuel Antonio National Park, famous for its white-sand beaches, lush rainforest trails, and abundant wildlife including monkeys, sloths, and colorful tropical birds. Accommodation.

The Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the most famous in our country due to its wide variety of specimens of flora and fauna. The park has 3 different trails that vary in degree of difficulty from flat to very steep. Manuel Antonio is home to 3 of the 4 species of monkeys found in Costa Rica. Halfway to the walk you can make a leisure stop on the third beach located inside the national park. Along the walk you will be able to observe sloths, birds and reptiles, as well as admire orchids, butterflies and tropical trees.  Accommodation.

DAY 8: MANUEL ANTONIO – INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
