Combination Tours with Hanging Bridges you will start the tour visiting the hanging bridges option consists of a hike on a 1.9 mile (3.1 km) trail on which you can enjoy the rainforest flora and fauna. The trail crosses nine fixed bridges and six suspension bridges and is laid out at a maximum grade of seven degrees so that anyone can walk it. Our next stop is the La Fortuna Waterfall. From the trailhead you will hike approximately 15 minutes before reaching this majestic waterfall where you can swim or just enjoy its beauty. Lunch is next and Arenal Vida Campesina is the place. Following lunch you’ll have the opportunity to rest before embarking on the volcano hike. You will enjoy a very educative walk, the naturalist guide will introduce you to the geological formation of the area and the regeneration of flora since the last volcano eruption. Sky Limit is a high performance circuit that combines a high ropes course, zip lines, canyoning, rappel, Tarzan swing, bridges and many challenging activities in the heart of the rainforest. Departure La Fortuna area and take you on an exciting 4x4 ride on a mountain road to our first ranch house. We put your gear on, give you a short safety and rappelling explanation and then a short trek on a beautiful rainforest trail to the first waterfall rappel where you will descend into to canyon! The 5 rappels range in heights of 13 mtrs (25 ft) to 55 mtrs (165 ft). Our Monkey Drop Zip Line is approx. 25 mtrs (82 ft) long. After rappelling down the first waterfall you will climb up the side of the canyon wall, 10 mtrs (20 ft), to a short trail. Then zip line across the canyon and rappel down from the cable 25 mtrs (82 ft) to the canyon floor again. Then continue through short trails from waterfall to waterfall through the canyon, it's like being in a National Rainforest Park! Then a short trek out of the canyon to the second ranch house where you meet up with the 4x4 vehicles and then back to our base offices for a delicious Costa Rican style lunch just outside La Fortuna with a view of the famous Arenal Volcano. We have beautiful installations with changing rooms, towels, and hot showers. You can also stroll through our organic tropical gardens and spot birds and tropical plants and flowers everywhere. We also grow as much as we can for your lunch on our land, all organic of course! Located into a spectacular rainforest and over 70 meters high, the Fortuna River Waterfall is an attraction hard to miss on your visit through La Fortuna. Born from the river that carries the same name, this cascade shares its boundaries with the Arenal-Monteverde protected area, housing wealth of wildlife and becoming very important for the conservation of tributaries that feed drinking water to surrounding towns. Our guide will accompany you and point the most important details of this rich area, where we have the option of watching the beautiful waterfall from the view point or walk about 300 meters in a very steep but safe pathway and get very close to it. Kayak on Arenal Lake is perfect for your vacations in Costa Rica and see the beautiful views that the lake offers us. Depart from La Fortuna at 8:00 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. to enjoy a pleasant day of kayaking on Lake Arenal and breathtaking views of the Arenal Volcano. After a short drive, you will get to the Arenal Lake. Our guides will give you the equipment such as life jacket and a paddle. The tour begins with an orientation to paddling. You will learn basic paddle strokes, safety and rules of the water. Once on the water, our guides will lead you along the shoreline for an incredible view of the volcano. From the operations center located in La Fortuna, we move to the place where the tour on the Peñas Blancas River begins at the height of the village of La Vega. Road to the river is given the explanation of the guide, on the equipment to be used, safety aspects, and guidance on situations that could be found downstream. An explanation will be given about the operation of the rafts that are used. The route is very quiet and does not have white water rapids. The main objective of the tour is to appreciate the fauna and flora of the area.

The Sky Tram gondolas rise smoothly through the rain forest, offering up endless views during their mountainous ascent. Sky Trek is a thrilling zip line circuit. Once you’ll be dropped off at an observation area you´ll observe fantastic views. From this area, you will start riding down on a zip line track stretching across canyons and in between treetops, the exhilarating adventure of zip lining down the mountainside begins; ultimately returning you to the starting point at the main building. This is the most thrilling zip line in the country.

Hiking To Rio Celeste tour, we leave early in route to Rio Celeste, we’ll arrive at the Tenorio Volcano National Park, where we’ll begin our 5 miles hike (approximately 4 hours) through the tropical rain forest. We’ll arrive “Los Teñideros” of the Rio Celeste, the site where two streams of crystalline water come together and form the heavenly color blue that gives the river its name. We’ll continue our hike through the jungle to seek out the volcano’s furnace vents that expel gases of extreme high temperatures. On our descent we will get to see the spectacular Rio Celeste waterfall whose color makes it one of a kind. Our final reward is an exquisite lunch at the end of our journey.

The Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge is considered to be of the best sites on the continent for bird watching. In addition to an abundance of birds, Caño Negro is also home to many exciting animals, such as sloth, three types of monkeys, caimans, lizards, bats, and a variety of flora native of the wetlands. The tour to this beautiful region leaves from La Fortuna and travels approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to Los Chiles, a rustic village just three kilometers from the Nicaraguan border. Then starts the boat ride to the wetlands. On the way up, you will see many bird and animal species. Around noon we will stop along the river for a typical Costa Rican lunch before heading back to Los Chiles to take the bus back to La Fortuna. This tour can be done also on Kayaks or Canoes.

The Arenal Volcano tour starts with a drive to the active Western side of the volcano. Once there you will embark on a hike on a trail, which traverses the rainforest and crosses over a large lava flow from 1992. It is possible to observe a great variety of plants, wildlife and magnificent lava rock formations. Once on the top of the lava flow you will have a beautiful view of the Arenal Lake. The hike ends up at a viewpoint, where if the weather allows, you will be able to feel and see the different factors that makes the Arenal an active Volcano. During the tour, our experienced guides will provide interesting and educational information regarding the history of the majestic mountain and the Arenal Volcano National Park. The tour concludes with a relaxing stop at the mineral hot spring. (Stop at hot springs is optional, entrance fee not included).
