We will visit some of the areas with the best bird watching in the country. We started by Turrialba in Cartago province, one of the best bird watching points of the country. Then we continue towards Cachi, to the Tapantí National Park, one of the most outstanding parks for observation. Its dense vegetation propitiates the perfect place to observe the birds of this zone, in addition to enjoy the scenic beauty of the place. We continue to Sarapiqui in the northern part of the country, recognized for its diverse birdlife. Finally, we will visit Tortuguero. The natural channels, the sea and the vast expanse of lowland rainforest create a perfect and unique habitat for hundreds of bird species. DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO COSTA RICA

DAY 3: TURRIALBA – BIRDWATCHING MORNING TOUR
Optional birdwatching tour by your own in the hotel trails before dawn. Breakfast. Departure in the morning to take de Birdwatching Tour in El Silencio Hill. The hike all the way up takes the whole day, but birding just the base is extremely productive with great tanager flocks, possible Red-fronted Parrotlets, raptors such as both Hawk-Eagles and a host of other birds seen easier here than at Rancho due to higher altitude. Duration: 3 to 4 hours approximately. Accommodation.
DAY 4: TURRIALBA – BIRDWATCHING ACTIVITY

Stay at the hotel for birdwatching activity inside the forest that borders the Tapanti National Park; the place is a paradise for lovers of nature and birdwatchers, both from the comfort of the room and enjoying a healthy walk in the gardens and trails in the virgin forest and then take a dip in the waterfall. DAY 7: OROSI – SARAPIQUI
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the northern part of the country, Sarapiqui. Accommodation.
DAY 8: SARAPIQUI – BIRDWATCHING MORNING TOUR
Morning walk to explore the forest in search of the diversity of birds that the place offers. Grab your binoculars and join our naturalist guide for an early morning bird walk on the grounds of Selva Verde. Morning is a very active time for the birds, so you can count on sighting several of the stunning tropical species that inhabit Selva Verde. Every morning is different, but they are all exciting! Your guide has a keen eye and a high-powered scope, so you can get close views of birds you might not otherwise notice. Accommodation.
DAY 9: SARAPIQUI – TORTUGUERO
Early departure. Breakfast on route. Continue to the dock to take the boat that will take you to the hotel through the Tortuguero Canals. Accommodation.
DAY 10: TORTUGUERO
Breakfast. Departure by boat and visit of Tortuguero National Park by the canals. Accommodation.
DAY 11: TORTUGUERO – SAN JOSE
Breakfast. Departure by boat to the dock, once on land the hotel transportation takes you back to Guapiles for lunch and continue your return to San Jose. Accommodation.
DAY 12: RETURN
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Juan Santamaria International Airport.
